Represent NYC: Laws Aim to Stop Construction Harassment Nightmare

Over the summer, new laws were passed that give renters the right to sue and be awarded damages from landlords who use invasive construction projects as a way to drive out tenants.

On this episode of “Represent NYC,” Council Member Helen Rosenthal talks with Urban Justice Center’s Jane Li, tenant advocate Susan Schwartz and Goddard Riverside Law Project’s Dan Evans about construction as a form of tenant harassment and how renters can defend their rights.

This episode originally aired in December 2017.
