On the Next Represent NYC: Probing Open Data to Solve NYC’s Problems

When former Mayor Bloomberg signed the Open Data Law in 2012, the public gained online access to local government information such as noise complaints, restaurant inspection reports, air quality data and more.

This Sunday on “Represent NYC,” Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer sits down with Deputy Borough President Aldrin Bonilla, BetaNYC Executive Director Noel Hidalgo and Assistant Director of the Civic Innovation Fellows Program Emily Goldman to discuss how mining the city’s data gives constituents the tools to solve community issues.

“Represent NYC” airs every Sunday at 7pm and repeats on Wednesdays at 9pm on MNN1 (Spectrum 34 & 1995, RCN 82, FiOS 33), MNN's HD Community Channel (Spectrum 1993) or streaming live on mnn.org.
