Freelance Shooter-Editors

Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN), New York City’s largest community media organization.  MNN is seeking freelance Shooter/Editors to create engaging video content for a community based television channel and web platform.


Required Experience

Please have 2+ years experience shooting and editing ENG or docu-style short-form digital video, with mastery of Adobe Premiere and a thorough understanding of media management. This is an excellent opportunity for a one-man-band, someone who can produce a video assignment from start to finish.


Other Job Requirements

Must have your own equipment, which should include a DSLR (or equivalent) field camera package and Premiere edit bay. Must be able to work independently, capturing b-roll, nat sound, and recording video and audio for field interviews. A staff producer will coordinate basic logistics of the project and will be on-site to conduct interviews, as needed. Staff producer may provide some additional equipment.



Freelancer Shooter/Editors are paid on a per-package basis, with projects ranging in length from 3-8 minutes.
